I'm sure this record sounds really dated nowadays with some of the synth choices, the radio intros that are becoming more common, and especially the mix/master, but this was really something for its time. I remember first hearing the title track and enjoying the composition so much. Dimi's ambition and fun with this project come in his brand of Outrun that meshes itself with the Instrumental Rock of the 80's, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai come to mind. A Synthwave classic!

I’ve always loved the funky side of Alpha. But the dark, wonderfully creepy ballads shine on this album! Tracks like Snuff ‘Em Out (my fav thx to a vid Alpha shared last month), Veins or Meat Ribbons are amazing. Synthwave sounds stale to me lately because of similar sound, omnipresent arpeggiators, weak melodies and basic harmonic structure, but Alpha’s unusual chord progressions as well as comparatively exotic melodies entertain me. This is not an EP. This is an experience. It takes me away, to a place made of snow, ice & light. It's like an old fantasy movie. Or a dream. A deja vu. A forgotten memory of someone else's. A lost side-road to nowhere that's pure joy to walk down for the sheer beauty of endless white & the quiet. A crystal palace forming before my mind's eye, steps of translucent ice taking me higher & higher. Pure bliss!
